Fat Burning Natural Foods

!±8± Fat Burning Natural Foods

There is a category of food that does just what overweight
people want it to do. There are actually foods that are
natural fat burners. Amazingly, they are not difficult to
find. The thing is that some of these foods may actually
surprise you. There is a concept that has been around for
some time. It is called negative calorie foods. What this
means is that there are foods that require more energy to
burn than they provide. Some of these are celery, spinach
and apples.

These are just some of the natural foods that are fat burners.
There is another group of natural foods that are not fat burners.
Citrus fruits are not negative calorie food burners. However,
they perform a helpful function in weight loss programs.
Citrus fruits aid your body in the release of fats. It also helps
your body to process the fat more efficiently and quickly.

Coconuts and coconut oil is another natural food that is a
fat burner. This natural food is helpful in many ways. It
has been used by the women of India to treat weight problems,
hair and skin conditions.

Fat burning natural foods are not hard to come by. Here are
some examples that you can find in your super market or
natural food store (if available, organic produce is preferable). These delicious root vegetables are just what you need if you
are trying to lose weight. They are packed with fiber and nutrition.
They include: carrots, parsnips, radishes, rutabagas and turnips.
Turnips are a great substitute for potatoes.

You probably already use onions. Now you can also add chives,
leeks, scallions and shallots. These are very tasty and versatile
in your cooking.

Remember your mother's admonition about eating your greens.
It's true that they're not much fun but they do burn fat. With
some creativity you can incorporate these foods into your menu,
lose weight and feel satisfied when finished eating. This would
include cabbage, dandelion greens, Chinese cabbage, mustard
and collard greens. The emphasis here is on changing your diet, not dieting. By
focusing on what you eat as opposed to losing weight, you
will naturally, effortlessly lose weight and feel better.

Brother Echo's 14-day 100% GREEN Juice FEAST Day #10

Today early this morning I started my liver cleanse and flush. I've never had so much fruit juice in one day... my head is spinning. On the other hand all that sweet delicious grapefruit juice and fresh apple juice were really, really good especially since I haven't had a whole lot of sugar since I started my juice feast and cleanse ten days ago. As a matter of fact I today I had more energy than I have for the past couple of days. I'm not 100% sure if I should attribute that to the sugar in the fruit or if I'm turning a corner in this marathon of a juice feast! This is the third juice feast I've done in the past two months and the longest so far. I can say with certainty this will certainly not be my last and not the longest. As a matter of fact I can see myself changing my diet drastically to be more geared around juices and salads. I love salads and I'm loving the lightness and detoxifying results with the juicing. I'm thinking less nuts and gourmet more sprouts and cucumbers! Okay I'm an hour late taking my ozonated olive oil but I just couldn't pull myself away from the computer, I had to get this video up before bed. With that said I bid you all a good night and I'll follow up with you tomorrow with stunning and amazing video as always. Peace, Love, Unity and Respect. -Brother Echo FOLLOW THE SANGHA ON TWITTER: www.twitter.com ♥♥♥ www.rawsangha.com ♥♥♥

Quick Summer Dinners

!±8± Quick Summer Dinners

These ideas for quick summer dinners will have you in and out of the kitchen in no time! Stock up on the ingredients for a fast summer meal anytime.

1. Grilled Chicken, Zucchini and Potato Salad: Marinate boneless, thin sliced chicken breasts in Italian salad dressing up to one day ahead. Slice zucchini diagonally, brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Grill chicken and zucchini until done. Serve with store bought potato salad. Note: The thin sliced chicken breast will be tender and cook in half the time.

2. Salad Bowl: Purchase your favorite variety of bagged salad. Add any of the following items for a gourmet salad: dried fruit, grapes, apples, peppers, tomatoes, nuts, croutons, cheese, chicken, bacon bits or chopped hard-boiled egg. Top with your favorite salad dressing.

3. Make Your Own Pizza: Starting with a package of pita bread, there are many different variations on this theme. Mexican: salsa, cheese, olives, beans, tomatoes and chicken. Italian: pizza sauce, cheese, pepperoni, olives, mushrooms and onions. Greek: hummus, feta cheese, olives, onions and spinach. Barbecue: barbecue sauce, cheese, onions, chicken and cilantro. Bake until heated through and cheese is melted. Try a new theme each week!

4. Pasta, Pasta, Pasta! Boil a pound of pasta and you can throw in almost anything. I like to sauté pre-cooked, shelled shrimp with garlic in olive oil. Toss with pasta and serve a salad on the side. This is also a great way to use leftover meats and veggies. Other toss- ins: diced tomatoes, artichoke hearts, olives, peppers, and sun-dried tomatoes.

5. Tortilla Roll-Ups: Fill tortillas with assorted toppings, roll up and bake or microwave. Topping ideas: refried beans, cheese, lettuce, tomato, salsa, chicken, spinach, corn, roasted peppers and onions.

This study utilizes a number of source materials to examine the story of the development of the macadamia nut industry in Hawaii. Traditional archival materials (documents, letters, journals and business records) do not reveal the entire story concerning the macadamia nut industry. Although these and publications by the Hawaii Agricultural Experiment Station and the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources at the University of Hawaii are used extensively, this study also relies on newspaper reports and oral interviews to bring all the dimensions regarding the commercial development of the industry to the reader's attention.

Gourmet Nuts - Cooking Ideas Using Almonds, Cashews, Pistachios and Other Gourmet Nuts

!±8± Gourmet Nuts - Cooking Ideas Using Almonds, Cashews, Pistachios and Other Gourmet Nuts

All varieties of nuts make great snacks. Not only do they taste great, they are extremely good for you too. Instead of just snacking on nuts, here are some easy and delicious ways to use them in your cooking. Let's take a closer look...

Gourmet nuts are one of the most nutritious snacks you can serve. They are full of protein, potassium, fiber, and many other useful vitamins and minerals. When used in cooking, though, they take on a whole new dimension. Creative chefs use all types of gourmet nuts in appetizers, main courses, and desserts. But it doesn't take a skilled chef to whip up some interesting creations that call for almonds, cashews, macadamias, walnuts, and more.

Baking With Nuts

Several nuts are frequently used in breads and desserts. Pistachios in particular are excellent additions to your favorite butter cookie recipe. Almonds are another great choice for cookies, as are macadamia nuts. In fact, just about every kind of nut has been used in cookie and bread recipes. They provide a pleasing texture contrast to dough in addition to an added boost of flavor.

In addition to cookies and breads, nuts are excellent toppings for cakes and tortes. Usually nuts like cashews or walnuts are crushed and spread atop the icing to create a complementary texture.

And of course, if you like to make candy, pecans, almonds, and filberts are the perfect match with dark or milk chocolate.

Coating For Chicken And Fish

Just use a rolling pin or similar kitchen gadget to crush your favorite nut to use as a topping. Pistachios, cashews, macadamias, and filberts are great toppings for baked or even grilled fish. Just brush the fish filet with olive oil so the nuts will stick, and then bake. The nuts will get golden brown and add a unique taste.

The same idea holds true for chicken. We like crushed walnuts as a coating for chicken breasts but go ahead and sample with your own preferences. Almonds, cashews, and macadamias work great too.

Nuts In Stir Frys

Stir fry dishes are all the rage because they're so healthy and fun to cook. Add some peanuts, almonds, or cashews to any Asian or stir fry recipe for even more healthy benefits! We like using roasted peanuts or cashews, or both. Add them when the stir fry is just about done, and just steam lightly so the nuts are slightly warm when served. You don't want to put them in too soon because they will soften and changes their crunchy texture.

Summary

Gourmet nuts are very versatile, not only as a snack but in your favorite recipes as well. They are ideal for baking, as a crunchy coating for chicken and fish, or as a new texture in stir fry dishes. They are loaded with protein, fiber, and other useful nutrients too, so go ahead and have fun experimenting!
